TEAM
Science encourages children to ask questions, seek answers, and be curious about the world
By teaching children to observe, question and hypothesise, we help them develop valuable skills that are applicable in various areas of life, not just science.

MEET THE VOLUNTEERS
PE Limited Petex
The LAB22 is very privileged to be fully funded by PE Limited which allows The LAB22 to keep all of our sessions free of charge to all school groups and children.
An added benefit has also been the incredibly helpful volunteers from within PE Limited who have provided their time in a variety of ways to support the day to day running of the lab or assist in the teaching of the school groups.
The PE Limited volunteers shown below is the list of volunteers who take time out of their working day to support The LAB22 in encouraging young children’s enthusiasm in STEM topics.
Luis Lamas
“Children are curious by nature, and allowing them to have contact with science in young age in such active way is not only fun, but can also bring profound impact in their future.”
Manal Khelfat
"It is a fantastic experience to meet curious young schoolchildren and to be able to help them with small projects on metals, electricity, and forces in Lab 22. Having seen the happiness in the eyes of some children during these small projects, I am sure that this kind of experience will constitute their first steps in what may become long, brilliant scientific careers.”
Liuyang Feng
"It is absolutely amazing to see how science inspires these kids at The LAB22. Listening to them asking all kinds of questions and helping them with lab activities make me realise the importance of science education in early years. Never too early to learn science."
Kamil Fedorowicz
"My reason for volunteering in the Lab22 is that I want to help children learn and grow - bright future starts with a strong education."
William Batty
“Sufficiently broadly defined as 'reasoned thinking based on evidence’, science encompasses everything. In this world of misinformation, introducing children to science early will help them reach their own carefully considered positions on key issues like manmade global warming, or the efficacy of vaccination. As well as informed decision making, instilling an early interest in science, its language of mathematics, and its tools of computer science, software and hardware, will provide an excellent grounding in an increasingly technological world."
Kate Barron
“By giving kids hands-on experiences and sparking their curiosity, we help them see that science isn’t just something in textbooks, it’s a way to explore the world and shape the future. It’s never too early to explore, learn, and be inspired by the world around us!”
Ewan Saw
“Scientific thinking plays an essential role not only in academic fields but also in everyone’s daily lives. Through LAB22, I hope to help spark curiosity in the young minds of the future and encourage them to develop key skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.”
Nikita Lenchenkov
“Physics is a fascinating subject that helps us learn about the universe and leads to new inventions that can change the future. Starting your journey into physics at school can make the exploration of this subject both enjoyable and seamless."

“In today's world, scientific literacy is essential. Science education equips children with the knowledge and understanding to navigate the increasingly scientific and technological society we live in.”
The LAB22 empowers children to make informed decisions, critically evaluate scientific information and engage with scientific advancements and debates.
