Sparking curiosity to ignite tomorrow’s big ideas

Our lab is a first of its kind in Scotland. By engaging in hands-on experiments, observing phenomena and asking questions, we help children develop important skills such as data analysis and observation, as well as fostering their enthusiasm for science.

The LAB22 is Scotland’s only science lab for children. We inspire young minds to take an interest in science and enable curiosity to flourish.

THE LAB22 STORY

We make science fun, accessible and engaging

Free Thought

We believe that free thought encourages children to think independently, question assumptions and explore different perspectives. By encouraging children to express their thoughts and opinions freely, they develop confidence in their ideas and gain a sense of self-worth.

Inclusivity

Inclusivity is of paramount importance within The LAB22 because it ensures that all children—regardless of their background or abilities —feel valued, respected and supported in the learning environment.

Broadening Horizons

The LAB22 seeks to foster a growth mindset, where children are open to learning, exploring and embracing new challenges. We introduce them to a wide range of topics in order to discover new passions and talents, as well as identifying potential paths for the future.
